On 23/12/2020, the decree law was approved by the Council of Ministers extending the terms for the issuance of the inter-ministerial decree in implementation of Article 72 c.3 Legislative Decree 101 of 2020, the application of the new rules on radiometric controls of metal products postponed to April 2021. The provisions of Legislative Decree 100 of 01/06/2011 are still in force.
The aforementioned Article 72 provided that a specific ministerial decree was issued within 120 days from the date of application of the decree, establishing executive procedures, a list of products, training to be given to the personnel in charge and the conditions for the recognition of the radiometric control certifications issued. from third countries; the deadline for issuing the interministerial decree was scheduled for 12/25/2020 but, given the complexity of the matter and the impact that the law could have on commercial traffic, the legislator deemed it necessary to extend it until April 30 2021.
The significant changes with respect to the previous Legislative Decree are contained in the list of products subject to surveillance where all the products included from chapter 72 to 83 of the combined nomenclature have been included.
